ABOUT US

In 1952, a potato farmer by the name of David Leep offered full-time jobs to the Conrado Anaya and Gilberto Galvan families. This meant that these two families no longer had to travel as migrants but could settle down in Orangeville, Michigan.

These two families had been converted earlier to the Apostolic doctrine in Texas. God opened a door for the Apostolic message to be brought to Michigan. The challenge was to find a place to “have church". Mr. Leep owned a storage barn which he agreed to be used for worship. Potato crates were used as chairs and as a pulpit.

The congregation began to grow and the worship services were moved to the old Orangeville Township Hall. One day Pastor Conrado’s son, Israel Anaya, was talking to Mr. Leep about the difficulty in purchasing property to build a temple. Mr. Leep responded by stating, “let me talk to my brothers to see if there’s a way we can help”. The Leep family agreed to let a section of their potato field be used to build a temple. A contract was written to lease this portion of property for $1 a year for the next 50 years.

In 1958 the temple was built for worship. This little white church, located in the middle of a “muck field”, was known as the “La Paloma Blanca” throughout our organization. We were officially called, "Orangeville Apostolic Church."

The congregation continued to grow and in 1966 property was purchased to build a larger facility for worship. Construction was completed in the summer of 1968 and the church was dedicated. In 2002 our name was changed to “Fountain of Truth Apostolic

Tabernacle." We are affiliated with the Organization, Apostolic Assembly.

God has blessed us throughout the years as we continue to reach out to our community with the Gospel message. Great men of God have served as Pastors in our church, which are as follows:

Filemon Anaya ;  1962-1973

Israel Anaya:  1973-1986.

David Garcia:  1986-2001

Joel Anaya:  2001-2003

Daniel Jimenez:  2003–Present
